Integrated 18-hour in-person course for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Covers regulatory foundations (USP 〈795〉, 〈800〉, PR Pharmacy Act, DQSA), formulation, and clinical cases by specialty.
Modules
Day 1 · 6 hrs
Regulatory foundations and capsules
USP 〈795〉 and 〈800〉, scope of hazardous-drug handling, NIOSH, PPE, PR Pharmacy Act, DQSA and the 503B Outsourcing Facility category; BUD and packing-statistics math, with a hands-on slow-release capsule lab of 100 units.
Day 2 · 6 hrs
Suppositories, oral liquids, and dermatology
Suppository BUD and formulation, oral suspensions with dispensing math, topical conditions (acne, psoriasis, melasma, alopecia), pediatric cases, and pain-management preparations (analgesic creams and combinations).
Day 3 · 6 hrs
Topical hormones, veterinary, and regulation
BHRT (Bi-est, testosterone), the Topi-Click system, penetration enhancers, shortage and excipient-allergy exceptions, 503A vs 503B distinctions, and veterinary compounding.
